My wife is very active in a number of women's organizations and is an officer in many of them. She asked me to make her a portable lectern and a means of carrying it so that she could take it with her to the various venues that these meetings happen. What I came up with was a collapsable pine lectern, pine is very light weight, and made a bag to fit. The two support pieces on either side are hinged to the front, and swing out, and the top is put in place and locks onto the base supports by fitting them into channels on the underside of the top. The bag is padded and compartmented with diamond quilted cotton canvas. Problem solved.

Very clever. Love that it collapses into its own bag. Nice work.
