Karenmay, Your blocks are lovely!!! Great looking first project.  Are you addicted yet??
I LOVE paper piecing. I made a miniature quilt for my secret sister at quilt guild. I can't wait to get started on another pp project.

Butterfly:
I have learned alot by checking out the following sites on the web which gives detailed instructions for every kind of quilting application you would ever want to try including paper piecing. On Quilterscache.com Marcia not only has a bazillion free blocks but step by step instructions on how to do EVERYTHING! Quilterscache is my FAVORITE site. I also found paper piecing patterns for blocks at www.paperpanache.com/guests. Check these out. You might find you don't need the quilt shop or other lessons to learn how to do a particular application. Good luck.
