This quilt is for my friend for her birthday. She loves anything and everything Wizard of Oz related. I don't understand it as I have never much cared for the movie, but it's her thing. :)

This is the first time I've done a scrappy back. I had some pretty big chunks of fabric leftover though and I knew I didn't want them for anything else. She's not a quilter so hopefully it won't look messy to her. I don't know how non-quilters view "scrappy".

The message on the back makes it appear that the "patches" were part of the greater design

Like you, I'm not that crazy about the Wizard of Oz, but I think your quilt is really nice. A great quilt for your friend to love.
