I love your quilt but I am with others and wouldn't use the floral for borders.

The floral border is out of place.... spoils it... maybe a narrow border of the black and pink spots, then a wide border of plain black... would look very smart... lovely work !!!

Unless you need it to be larger, I would use a narrow 1 inch border of polka dots or the medium pink and a binding of whatever color you have left. I agree with others that the floral doesn't complement the strong pattern of the quilt. I like a narrow border on quilts with strong blocks. Here are a couple of examples.

Pretty, but like others I would go with a solid border.

I'd use one of the dot fabrics from your quilt for the border

JoAnnB said it just exactly as I was thinking it.
First! I want to say that you have taken a very basic quilt pattern and made it so very elegant with your choice of colors and fine workmanship.
The blocks and the colors in them are very strong and defined, and the floral just can't hold a candle to your blocks.
I like that floral, and it might have worked if it have been perhaps big blocks throughout the quilt, but what you have done with the center of the quilt is just great, in my humble opinion ...
I like the idea of a thin border and strong color as JoAnnB suggested (can you tell that I read the first page and the last page of your thread? ;-) ) for the binding.
I can hardly wait to see how you decide to finish it <wave>

Unless you need to add the border to get to the size you want, I might go modern and borderless on this one! Pop it with some pink in the border.

Hi Sis I agree the floral is nice, but it would be too much with this pattern either a solid border, or it doesnt really need a border as it is nice as is and a solid color for the backing. the floral will be nice for a nother quilt on its own, and what makes you think we are going to have time to go quilt shopping in Nashville, we will be busy sightseeing.... Cant wait to get to Minnesota.
