My sister and I are taking a quick trip out west flying into Phoenix, going to Sedona for a couple of days, then back to Phoenix. Any shops in the area anyone can recommend that are a don't miss?

Dont know about between the two, but I know there are lots in the Phoenix area, and I'm sure there are a few in Sedona!

When are you coming out our way? :)

My dh and I went so Sedona several years ago on vacation. There is one really good one in Sedona that I know of maybe more. I can't remember the name but it was right on the main drag, in a small strip mall.

I live just 12 miles from the LQS in Sedona and it is real nice. It is in west Sedona, not where all the tourist shops are. Have Fun Suzanne in Cottonwood AZ It is called Quilter's Store Sedona and Gallery and the address is 3075 W hwy 89 a Sedona

Suzanne, what is the name of the LQS on the road down from Jerome? I stopped their last year and picked up some Lauel Burch material----nice shop.

There are lots of shops in and around Phoenix. It would depend on what route you are traveling and if you want to shop on Sunday.

East side of town, closer to Casa Grande

A Quilter's Oasis, 9963 East Baseline Rd #105 Mesa, AZ SW corner of Baseline & Crismon.

*Zoe's Trunk, 2990 North Alma School Rd #3, Chandler, AZ SW corner Alma School & Elliot

*Cutting Edge Quiltworks, 1949 W. Ray Rd, Chandler, AZ it's on the southeast corner of Ray and ??? (I can't remember, not my 1st choice)

*The Quilter's Ranch, 1721 E. Warner C-9 Tempe, AZSouthwest corner of McClintock & Warner

*3 Dudes Quilting, 5053 E. Elliot Rd, Phoenix Southwest corner Elliot & 50th Street. (I like this one too, 3 fellas run it)

West side of town----

Quilted Cactus, 15459 W. Bell Road, #109 Surprise. Southeast corner of Bell & Reems.

Downtown:

Bernina Connections 4219 East Indian School Road Phoenix. southeast corner of Indian School & 42nd PLACE.

*****Quilted Apple, 3043 North 24th STREET, Phoenix, Thomas and 24th Street. not to far out of your way going from airport to Sedona.

There are a couple more on the west side of town if you are interested.

Also, Sally's Fabrics is on Main Street Mesa.

*these shops are in the opposite direction from your planned trip.

On 32nd Street and Thunderbird Road is Quiltz. Not to far from Rt 51. There is also one in Cave Creek that is nice and of course I can drive there, but can't remember the name of..... It's Olde something.....

Have fun on your trip.

Wow, Sharon! You know where they all are! I drive back and forth CA and NM and now you have given me more places to mine for stash! Love the one in Sedona and also the one near Jerome and Cottonword right on the round-about. I found that one by accident going back to CA last summer.
Will have to come through that way again some time. Happy Quilting!

I think some of the people who are meeting us want to go to Jerome and I love Laurel Birch so hopefully we can find it. I printed out all that were mentioned. Thanks guys, I knew this would be the place to ask. Getting all packed ready to head west.
