After buying this blue fabric for the sashing on my MIL's quilt I am having second thoughts. I liked it in the store and when I got home it looked really bright. Then after taking this picture it doesn't look quite so bright to me anymore. I was trying to be cheap and shop at Joann's with my coupons and of course they have a very limited selection of solids. And I couldn't find any 1930's reproductions so I bought this little print for the border. So...what do you think of my choices?

I like the blue sashing

I think it looks fine.

I like it too, it makes the blocks stand out. Also with the muted border it all ties together nicely. It will be very pretty and I'm sure your MIL will love it!

I would go with black or yellow sashing to go with the colors in the blocks, I think the border will be fine. I love the pattern, very cute.

I think both are good, the blue doesn't look that bright and goes well with the red and yellow which are brighter.

I like the blue. Yes, it's an intense color, but it is balenced by the black. Not a great fan of the border.

I think a black sashing would really make this pop.
