Friday I sent into my LQS, they were demonstrating a new marker ink pen- and had kept one aside for me - all stock was sold out immediately - I just needed to share this information with you - it is a pen made by Pilot called "FRI X ION" Ball - remove by friction. They come in a variety of colors as well, but don't remember which those colors are. I can think of all sorts of uses for this pen.

I wrote on a piece of white cotton, then took my iron and when I placed the iron on the mark - it totally removed the mark - I thought I should try it on a quilt I am making for my neice - now who would mark their new quilt? Again it removed all traces of the ink and no marks at all today on my quilt.

See pics attached.

There was a couple threads started on these pens. I love mine and use them all the time. If you want to know more about them do a search at the top of the page. Pretty quilt top.

I bought one when I was on the summer shop hop. And have discovered that none of the LQS in my area sell them.

After seeing threads on here about others finding them at Staples USA, I called yesterday and yes, they have them here at Staples in Ontario in a six pack of assorted colours. Yessssssss!

Just saw them yesterday at a quilt shop in Erie, PA.
I bought one for 2.99 and realized a while ago I bought the same thing for
two for a dollar at Staples. I had no idea what this little miracle pen could do.

Thank you for the info as I had not heard of this pen before. And, by the way, I love your quilt.

I just found them this past week. it sure doesn't take much heat to remove them I was told it is a gel pen. I know two of the colors are purple and black.

I'm glad you are spreading the word.

I would test by washing before using on a quilt. there have been topics of this ink reappearing in cooler weather.
