Started my day early. Husband left for work and I went and did the grocery shopping. Bought 2 pumpkins, stuff for dinner (Pot Roast!), ground beef and rice for a sick dogs meals, and ham for sandwiches through the week.

Came home, through a load of laundry in, cut the pumpkins and removed seeds and started them in a soak, braised the meat for the pot roast, changed a load of clothes, started meat & veg in the slow cooker, brought the pumpkin shells to a neighbor to make pies, vacuumed and dusted, changed another load of clothes and put other clothes away, browned the beef and made rice for the dog, made the bed, stored the beef and rice in tupperware, did the dishes, changed another load of clothes and put more clothes away.

Then ... I went outside to sit on the garden bench and do some hand sewing (binding). I'm on my first length of thread - perhaps 10 minutes into sewing and my husband pulls into the drive. I was ALL PREPARED to tell him everything I accomplished today when he strolls over and the first thing out of his mouth ....

"Did you buy bread, I want a sandwich".

DOH!!! There goes my gold star.

And his funeral is scheduled for ???

It never fails that you forget that one thing that they decide they want does it!

Happy Day,
Susan

Yep! I can sympathize with you. I do that all day long and I usually poop out around 3 when he gets home. By golly when he pulls in the driveway, I'll get up, turn the TV off, wait til he comes in and then sit down on the couch and turn the TV back on or he would find me on that couch at that time every single day! Oh that would look bad but he doesn't say anything. I babysit my grandson and he is napping at that time as well, so I just about drop to the floor.
When my husband was off work for about three months due to back surgery, he did see what I do everyday. He knows just like your husband does.
Love that you shared that with us.

He evidently had a sandwich on his mind all the way home. go feed the man! poor thing, he's probably starving. he, he. I'm sure he will be willing to eat what you have cooking after he gets a whiff of it.
