I helped a good friend decorate her yard for a fall get together. One of the things I did was to put votive candles in quart jars (with a few 'beans' in the bottom) wired the tops for hanging...o and added a quilter's touch by adding a few large buttons for decorations at the neck of the jar and hung from the trees....It looked like a fairy land.. almost two dozen. They were scattered and hung at various heights. A fun thing to do that has a big impact after dark! Wanted to share this with you try it next time you're having outdoor party near dark!

Sounds neat! I will have to remember that for next summer when we are entertaining.

They have centronella voltive and tea candles which will help with skeeters.

My favorite lighting for outside. I use sand in the bottom and dampen it with water after putting the candle in. I outline my pool for our Christmas party with alternating red and white candles in the jars..so festive.
