age of machine

I have a model 301a Singer that I inherited and have tried contacting Singer for when it was made. I have seen posts on this, but thought someone would help me since I seem unable to get the job done. The serial is NA340203. Where is this info found? Many thanks. Cyd

If you go to www.singer301.com and click on dating tab, you will find a more comprehensive listing of dates for 301s (scroll way, way down!). There is also a lot of really great information on that site. Your machine has a manufacture date of 1953 according to that site. Hope you have fun. :)

Congatulations on your 301! You're gonna love her!

Singer.com has a section celebrating their anniversary, and will give you a certificate of date of manufacture in PDF if you put in your serial number. Mine are from 1925 & 1928, both 66s that I have converted with aftermarket hand cranks.
