Lincoln the Movie

We went to see the movie Lincoln last night. It was a great movie, one of the best I've seen in a while! What I thought was interesting was the portrayal of the quiet maneuvers to get the amendment passed. The political scene hasn't changed since then!

Daniel Day-Lewis was unbelievable in his role, and so was Sally Field!

I so want to see that but it has not come to any theater close to us yet. Thanks for the review.

my SIL and her hubby went to see it, too. they used a free voucher, but said they would definitely pay to see it again. the only thing... it's 2.5 hrs long!

My husband and I have been wanting to see it. Thanks for the feedback, now I'll make sure he really does get to see it over the Christmas break. He's such a good sport and goes to see almost any movie I ask him to see, but this one he is really interested in!

My BFF and her DH saw this. She raved about it and is now reading and enjoying the book it was based upon. I'd love to see it, but seldom get a chance to go to the movies.

I will check the movie out at my library when they get a copy of it.

I loved it - it was like seeing history come alive. I kept trying to see Daniel Day Lewis, but I could only see Lincoln. I did not think it was too long. I want to read the book, too.

I can't wait to see it On Demand on my tv. I am looking forward to it.

reading the book, it is very interesting but you need to have wikipedia available. Very detailed, while nicely explained, there are lots of things I just needed to look up.
