Suggestions for using pinwheels?
1 Attachment(s)
Yesterday (Christmas day) our kids were not here, so I spent several hours in my sewing room turning a bunch of half-square triangles into pinwheels. They were too-big-to-throw-away trimmings from other quilt blocks. Now I have all these pinwheels that I want to turn into a simple quilt. Probably crib/throw size. I "googled" and found this layout using the background fabric for the sashing that I kind of like. I had already cut out the squares, so that made easy corner stones. Makes the pinwheels kind of pop. I haven't cut the sashing yet, just laid the blocks onto it. Any other ideas?

The layout you have is beautiful, just sew it together and finish it up.

LOL...I have been doing the same...so many small pieces - sewing them together and I have been making rice bags. I am getting tired of sewing them though...I have a ton cut out...I need to find a sewing group in town that would want them. Sad that they schools do not have quilting classes.
