zig zagger
Hi everyone, I would like to by a singer zig zagger for my sewing machines and notice there are a couple of model numbers - Can't really find which model number (160985 & 161102) would be suitable for my 201. I also think the scallop cam looks appealing.
I am assuming if I got the right one I could use it on my class 15 & 185J? Any zig zag experts out there? |
I'm not a ZZ attachment X-spurt, but I have used / attempted to use them.
I have the 160985 I believe and it works fine on my 201-2. But it doesn't work worth a hoot on my 15 clones. My wife pointed out that the vertical travel of the needle bar is less on the 15 clone than the 201. So the ZZ patterns are narrower. I haven't tried the ones we have on the Singer 15s, 99s, or 185s so I don't know for sure how they work. Joe |
I don't think they're worth the time or effort. I'd rather just have a machine that is zig zag capable or uses cams. Just my two cents:>

I have had one for years, and I agree better to have a machine that has it built in or cams

good idea to clean and oil it to get it in top working condition.
