another "I just need fixing" FW

I bought another FW of Craig's list a few days ago----as stated, it was missing a few pieces, but the seller says "I greased it up good and it runs" and preceded to show me that it did indeed run. Wasn't asking too much and I can do some minor work on these wonderful machines,,,,,,,,,,got her home, and she does run but doesn't really sew as the tension is off and there is no tension nob or spring.....or thread rod or cover.......oh, and I notice there is black grease on my table. Well, I opened her upand there is what looks like axle grease all over----argh----so I cleaned and cleaned---then oiled and greased with Singer products......ordered the cover plate and canabalized "Unfixable" machines that I have in the garage......after redoing the tension assembly and gazillion times----she is running quietly and smoothly with wonderful stitches.....No name yet, any suggestions?

Congratulations! She has found the right place to be. As far as a name, she'll probably tell you one day. I named mine Emily.

How about naming her Alexa for the axel grease you had to remove? And why are they named female names? Does any one know?
