Neat huh?

Nice idea. The 3M strips would work as long as it wasn't too heavy. My daughter bought the hooks to hang up her purses in her closet but they wouldn't hold the weight.

Check out the command display, there are different hooks for different weights.

This a great idea for those smaller projects.

It depends on the surface of the wall how much max. weight the hook will hold. The large metal Command Strip Hooks hold my purses. I have them hanging on my closet wall. The large hook also holds lot of my big square quilting rulers. .

I didn't know they made them for different weights! I am going to have to go investigate the 3M display more thoroughly. Thanks!

I love the 3M hooks. I had one I hung my coat on for 2 years at school. I even hung a really heavy winter coat on it and it stayed up. Be sure to follow the installation instructions and they work great. They do make them for different weights. My DD is in college and we had them all over her dorm room. SHe isn't allowed to put any holes in the walls. SHe even had a arge one to hang her backpack up on.

I've been hanging photos this way for some time and they work GREAT. I never thought of using them for quilts. THANKS A BUNCH FOR THIS IDEA!!!

I use the command strips for hanging rulers of various weights on the back of my thrift store dresser which I use for storage and ironing on the top with the big board on it.. A while ago I rearranged them and it was neat to be able to do so with new strips. But I have not thought to use them for hanging smaller quilts, either! This will make DH very happy, smile.
