Have you used Golden Threads Quilting Paper?

I am doing the borders of my QAYG quilt and decided it was a great place to use the above paper. Here are some photos of my project. I cut 8 strips the width I needed; drew the design on one strip; stacked the strips; and then stitched the pattern without thread. It worked very well for my project and I will use this paper again and again. BTW, this paper tears off quite easily.

Nice! Does anyone make papers where you just follow the quilting pattern with your machine?

I'm terrified to try to do my own quilting, but your technique and photos give me courage. Thanks for posting this!

I have used it with great results, but best to use it for larger shapes or outline quilting, then tear it off and go back to do the detail. For example I used it do the below Koi fish and Gecko but just quilted the outline of each. Then I tore the paper away and did the detail in each. I quilt on a LA

Several years ago I purchased 2 rolls of this paper.

I just never tried/used it yet.

I have used it several times on blocks and borders!! Now that I can quilt feathers without a pattern (thanks to a Craftsy class!!!) I don't use it as much!!!

Thanks for showing your project. I have used this paper a bit -- I want to learn more about quilting and I know I will use all of the hints found here.

ValerieAnn, there are papers on a roll with designs that you can stitch through. they usually have the edges that glue to your project too. I can't find a link right now but I'm sure many places sell them. found one- for borders http://www.quiltingmadeeasy.com/quilting-on-a-roll/ and here http://quilting.keepsakequilting.com...ders-On-A-Roll
