Quilting into 2014
2 Attachment(s)
I have just arrived home from a nice relaxing couple of weeks at our fishing shack where I sewed like crazy. Our summer weather was fairly ordinary (lots of gale force winds, little sunshine) so there wasn't much opportunity to sit and read and relax on the verandah in the sun sooooo....... I headed to my sewing room and sewed !
I sewed 6 quilt tops and got the binding stitched on another 4 quilts. My scrap pile was reduced considerably although most wouldn't notice any difference :) Here are a couple of the quilts. The black/white/red quilt was so much fun to sew (it's 48" x 64") sooooooo.... I drew up the block to a 10" one and made 2 scrappy ones. The second pic is one of the scrappy ones on my temporary design wall - the Christmas lunch flannel tablecloth recycled :) |
Very nice. They are both pretty.

I like how you graded the centers in your Log Cabins. They are going to make great quilts.

I love this twist on the log cabin block. Oh, my the possibilities. Thanks for the inspiration!

Really, Really like your creative log cabins

Never seen that done before, it caught my attention like right now. What a novel idea to vary the old LC and make a new statement. Love it.

Wait a second, your fishing shack has got a sewing room?? Now that's an awesome fishing shack! Stitching six quilt tops and binding on four quilts in a couple of weeks??? Wow you certainly got a lot done! Can't wait to see the finished project of the second pictured quilt top in progress. Don't forget to post the picture of that too. Thanks for sharing, just wait till I tell my husband he has to make room for a sewing room in his fishing shack!! :-)

I also love the graded log cabin.
