Do they ever take out the papers? How do they do it then - they must be really stuck by then...

Looks like using precut freezer paper to me, which is how I do it, but don't use glue, baste with basting stitch on sewing machine and remove all papers after am thru with that section of GFG, or individual flower for appliqué.

You could make your own hexi iron on paper in any size you need. Just download the hexis from one of the many free sites then print on a sheet of Wash Away Applique Sheets from C&T. This has fusible on one side and once quilt is finished you wash it and the paper disappears. I like incompetech.com/graphpaper/
