Kay's Japanese Yen

Asian fabrics with a black background what could be more lovely! Kay used her scraps to piece this lovely quilt top and backed it with a black fabric that had the feel of satin. I loved working on this top! I used black Hobbs 80/20 batting, black and gold threads and played to my heart's content. Crosshatching in the center of the blocks, surrounded by feathers, then McTavishing in the background. Fun, Fun, Fun! Freehand stitching with no computer nor stitch regulator.
