Suggestions needed
 

I have been asked to make a baby quilt for a friend's daughter. The parents would like green,orange and teal colors but it's ok to include other colors as well. They want it to be something the child can grow with so it can't "read" infant and it needs to be gender neutral since the parents have chosen not to know whether they are having a boy or girl.

Any suggestions or ideas for a focus print fabric or name of fabric line that might work here would be greatly appreciated.

Baby animals are often a good choice. Kids of all ages like them, the colors should work well, there are some really cute baby animal panels on the market to use as a starting point.

Star blocks are popular and a very safe choice for growing with the child. Novelty prints related to the zoo, jungle, circus, toys, or nature, paired with dots, stripes, checks or star prints and coordinated with blenders can be very gender neutral.

I also like a chevron quilt and they are super easy to make - you can adjust the size by the number of rows.

Do you like to use solids? I've seen some really cute quilts for children that have just giant X's or arrows. Very graphic, gender neutral, and not babyish.

'I Spy' quilts are always fun.

How about an alphabet quilt with cute animals. I did a teal and orange embroidery quilt a few years ago and the teal and orange was beautiful together. I don't really care for orange but if the teal is the dominate it will look great.

One QB member and I had chatted on line and she really liked it but wished it were rectangular - this is what I came up with for her - this one is 45x60
