I found this wonderful free pattern
 

I found this pattern from www.tulipsquare.com for a lovely little sewing/mending kit. I have made nine so far. I am going to give them as Christmas gifts for my children and grand children. Fun to make and I found lots of inexpensive notions from www.wawak.com . If you don't count my labor, or the fabric [from the stash of fat Q 's] it cost me about $2.50 each to make. It does take about 2 fat Q's for each one. I did make a few modifications to meet the sizes of scissors and seam ripper but mostly I just followed the pattern. Follow them exactly to make the first one, I consider it a trial run, but after that, once you understand the order of sewing it is dead easy. Thanks Ellen
