recommend one Bonnie Hunter book to me

I would like to purchase a Bonnie Hunter book. I've read her website, etc, but would really like to get one book that would have pictures, patterns, suggestions, etc. If anyone has purchased her books, give me a good choice, as I just want to buy one right now. Thanks.

I love Leaders and Enders! Great way to start. See if some one on the board has one to sell.

I just attended an all day workshop with Bonnie yesterday! What fun!
Any of her books are a great addition to your library, but I would also recommend starting with either Leaders & Enders or Scraps & Shirttails.

I have all of them and like them all.

I am not sure where you can look at her books (maybe Amazon ir B&N) because you have to look to see which one appeals to you the best. Good Luck

I have all her books but for a beginner I would recomment Scraps & Shirttails. You can't go wrong with any of her books.

Use your library or inter-library loan to browse through a few of her books and then decide which to buy.

Her site *quiltville* also shows some of the quilts in the books. I've seen a couple of book pattern quilts listed. Think I had to click on book picture first. Worth a peek~ :)

I couldn't recommend one over the others; it's really a matter of which quilts you are more drawn to. If you look at the books on the quiltville website, some of them have pics of the quilts in them. Or you could google Bonnie Hunter quilts to see if you can narrow down which one you are wanting to start with.

There is also a tab on her website for free patterns - there are dozens there to choose from. If you find one you like there, it would give you an opportunity to see if you like her style. Her patterns are very well done - lots of pics and text to explain each step - but have many, many small pieces.

Last - she will be starting her annual mystery soon. Fabric requirements will come out in mid- to late October, with the first sewing step the day after Thanksgiving.

I agree! This was the first Bonnie book I bought and I've done several of the quilts. Then I bought Scraps and Shirt Tails and bought the rest in order of publication. You don't have to make the quilts as L&Es. Great patterns. :-)
