turning a panel into a twin size quilt

I just bought a Frozen(the movie) panel and want to make it into a twin size. Does anyone have a pattern or any ideas as to how to do that? I don't just want to add borders.

Maybe surround the panel with snowflake blocks? Someone posted a link to snowflake paper piecing patterns for a "snow-along" I think.

How in the world did you find that panel I can't find it anywhere, my little grand daughter wants a frozen quilt but I just can't get it most places say won't be available until next year.

I'm just going to add borders to my panel to make a toddler quilt, but I like how this person did a quilt:

i do like that... the border color is perfect and the windmills look a little like snowflakes

Many of the fabric companies have free patterns featuring panels. I have a whole folder full of ones that I have collected. One of my favourites is My Lil'Buckaroo disgned by Heidi Pridemore (I love her stuff!) a Shannon Studio Collection. If you don't like the stars it features, substitute any 8 1/2" block you do like. This one works up to a good size too, 54" x 70". It's quick and easy.

Have you checked to see if any are for sale on eBay without a huge markup on the price?? I would just keep looking. I saw a cute appliqued snowflake on a square block. It was free on American Patchwork & Quilting website. Pattern was called Snowflake Wall hanging. PM me if you can't find it on Google.

I used the pattern in the September/October 2014 Love of Quilting magazine. Around the panel are snowflakes on 8 1/2" squares. With borders, the quilt finished 74" x 82". To appliqué the snowflakes, I used a #60 needle and #100 silk thread. The stitching was almost invisible. I gave the quilt to my daughter's 6 year old foster child. With that quilt on her bed, she makes her bed every morning. I have never seen a child love a quilt so. Best wishes with your quilt.
