Iron Burn on fabric, found a great fix
While this was a reply to a post I did a few days ago, I wanted to share this with the whole group. I was an idiot and burned some Kona cotton in multiple places. It had appliques on it so I couldn't just throw it out. I found a fix using hydrogen peroxide and it worked amazingly well. http://www.howtocleanstuff.net/how-t...from-clothing/ I washed the quilt afterwards using some color catchers. I can machine quilt with thread matching the background fabric instead of the variegated
thread I thought I would have to use.http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...58-photo-1.jpghttp://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...76-photo-2.jpg |

What a great site! Wish I could sign up to receive updates, but can't find a place to do that.

Thanks sew much! This tip couldn't have been more timely! Really appreciate it.

This is very useful. I am glad your work was saved. It would have been just awful to have lost it due to the scorch mark. I love this site you posted. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to try it on a jersey knit gown. I'm still sewing it and was sad that I burned it. Actually, it may be fusible interfacing burned on it but hopefully this will help.

Thanks for the tip. Scorching fabric is something I've done before and will surely do again!

I think that is great.
