Great New Thread Storage

1 Attachment(s)
So excited with my great bargains! Last week I went to a sewing machine repair shop that is going out of business and found a box of lovely 100% cotton thread by Robison-Anton Textile. The guy said it's good thread and he was selling the whole box (40 spools in all colors, some variegated) for $20. I kept thinking how nice it would be to have a plastic storage box for all my threads so I could see them. Then today I stopped at a yard sale in front of an Inn near the local quilt shop. There was this lovely acrylic case with pull out shelves. It was used for gourmet chocolates that they no longer sell. Got it for $5. So now I need to gather all my good threads together and put them in it. Won't it look great when I have a real sewing room? It's 19" tall, 9" deep. with little pull out trays, door at the back. I think I'll leave the label, Sweet Shop USA on as it's kind of appropriate.

You got two great bargains. I think you need to add some clear tongs.

Prettier than a box of chocolates!

Great find. I think I'd keep the thread away from the window to avoid sun damage.

It's wonderful. And I'd definitely leave the Sweet Shop USA on it:thumbup:.
