The machine is a Singer. It is beige in colour. Serial No is : MB118734
I have not seen this machine yet but will try to get a photo of it and post.
Thanks for your help.

Any estimate of the age of the machine? What type of stitches does it have, just straight or decorative?

I have no idea at this time, I will see the machine tomorrow and take a photo. I thought I could find out the model from the serial no, but can only find M- numbers, not MB.

"Beginning 1934" doesn't give a lot away but beige suggests late '50s

From the wonderful Bonnie Hunter's blog about her vintage Singer 227M, this is what you have ....

(Sorry that I don't know how to make that a one-touch doo-hickey to open the site!)

Thank you so much!! This machine belongs to my cousin, but I might make him an offer. If Bonnie has one it must be special. I would also love to get a 301.

They were made in the late '50s. An excellent straight stitch machine

Are they flat or do they resemble a top hat? Someone here will surely be grateful for them. Where are you located?
