Hello from Alaska

Hi my name is Muriel aka AkAngel. I am making an attempt to return to quilting after a looongg time being gone.
I use to be active on Quilters Paradise but I understand it has been sold I am hoping to become reaquainted with some friends from there and make some new ones as well.
I have not quilted in several years (stopped when I was laid up for several months due to shattering my arm and elbow)
We are expecting a new baby in the family the end of Sept. (Son2's stepdaughter) and I would like to make a quilt to welcome him.
There was a pattern that was quite popular but I can't remember the name for sure I think it was
something.....wishes ...I can't locate the pattern does anyone know of the one I'm talking about? I know it was free online. Thank you.

Welcome from NJ. Sounds like you might be looking for the 'warm wishes' pattern? Can probably find for free online somewhere.

Welcome back! Warm Wishes is the pattern where you cut squares of your focus fabric and put squares of 3 fabric strips between the focus squares like a checkerboard.

thank you for your replies, yes Warm Wishes is the pattern I was thinking of. I have already printed it out and I have my fabrics in the wash. I had hoped to get it cut out today but you know the saying.....best laid plans of mice and men.
Oh well at least now I'll have everything ready to start. Thank you all again and hope to chat sometime in the room.

I've read on this site for a long time, but don't remember you! However, welcome from the East coast - the beautiful mountains of western NC.
