BFF Block Exchange Quilt #1
1 Attachment(s)
About 4 years ago my BFF who lives in California (I'm in Missouri) was diagnosed with cancer. The same year her daughter got a brain tumor. It was a pretty low point in their life. To brighten things up we decided to do a monthly block exchange. Each month we would send each other a block without discussing what pattern we were using. I said I wanted all brights and no solids, and she said she wanted pinks and greens in each block. 20 months later we had enough for our quilts. It took us about another 20 months to get them finished, (not exactly sure why) but now they are. We are pretty proud of them. Mine is pictured below and hers is in another thread called BFF Block Exchange Quilt #2.
(I'm happy to say mother and daughter are both cancer free!) |

How fun!! What a lovely way to get through a difficult time. And, who doesn't love happy snail mail. I am glad to hear mother and daughter are in the "Pink". (Her words.) I love how happy and vibrant your quilt is. Enjoy.
