I live my actifry, I cook lots of different things in it, but love the healthy fries, yummy and low fat, I don't use the spoon to measure oil. I use spray canola oil from Costco.

Have had mine for about 4 years & I love it. No more deep frying at my house. Can't do things like onion rings because they are "soft" & as a result end up as small little bits of onion rings, taste good but very small little things.

now you have my curiosity up. what is it?

I just looked it up....a pricey little appliance IMHO. We don't eat ff at home at all, so don't need it for that......any other frying I do is sautéing to blend into something else or breading and deep frying things like eggplant, zuchinni, green tomatoes.......it's not counter/cabinet clutter I think I need....but I may be wrong...I will read other replies...

I saw one on clearance at Walmart last summer for $50. My DGD wanted to try it so I bought it for her. All she has cooked in it is french fries.

so much for that.....would definitely be a doorstop in my house.......but to each his own

I asked my DD how she liked it and she said she would buy another if this one quit working.

Amazon sells it and from the comments there, I would think, not twice but several times, before I'd buy one. Everyone seems to love the concept but, apparently, if used often, it has a tendency to fall apart. Amazon has it for $199. That's a big investment for french fries.

We like packaged French fries but notice they take quite a long time to cook in the oven. I read in some of the reviews, they can take as little as 1/3 the time to cook. A lot of mixed reviews. Some love it, some not so much. But that's the same with almost anything, these days.
