star binding
I have made a 3 foot star that needs to have the binding put on. Are there any "tricks" to make the outside points sharp and the inside corners to be neat and clean? Do I bind it the same way I would a quilt? This pattern has given me fits since day 1 and am ready to throw it to the heavens. Thanks.

Treat the outside corner as you would any outside corner, and inside is the opposite ........just remember to stop 1/4" from corner, take out from under needle, reposition for miter, and then begin sewing again........take your time, it may not be perfect but no one but you will know that.......the eye candy is that 3 foot star!

I have never done a star before but found this video on Google. Might have some helpful hints:

I would use a facing instead of a binding.

If you do decide to bind it, you should likely use bias binding. |
I would use a bias binding, also.
