Have you used "Essential Cotton" thread on a longarm?

I have been using King Tut cotton thread on my APQS longarm machine, and really like everything about -- except the price. I see that Connecting Threads has a cotton thread called "Essential", size 50/3. It costs $9.99 for a 5,000 yard cone. That is less than half the price of King Tut. Most of my quilting is for charity quilts, and I'd love to find a good quality thread that doesn't break the bank.

Have you every used this thread in a longarm machine? What is your opinion? I'd love to hear the pros and cons you have discovered in using this thread on a longarm.

Thanks in advance, Quilter Friends.

I've used it in my Innova and really like it!

I use it all the time. It is very good. It does mean a little more lint in the bobbin case, but that's easy, I just clean the area with every bobbin change.

The Essential Poly on the cone is thinner and very strong. It is made for long arm machines. I use it for bobbin thread a lot.

Yes, what GEMRM said, a little more linty but an excellent thread, I have an Innova that I run it on.

I used it this weekend to quilt a baby quilt. My machine really liked it--no broken threads and sewed like a dream. I was having problems with my Omni on it and switched to this and it was great. I was very pleased. I'm going to order more colors of it. I just got white to try.

The people at Connecting Threads are very good at answering any questions you may have. Within reason, they will also make right any complaint you have. While you are visiting their site, check out the fabric.

I have a Voyager 17 - and use it almost exclusively.

I use it, and it's great!

I use it in my Babylock Crown Jewel (top and bobbin) and it works great. I also used it in my Pfaff 1200 short arm. It's the only thread we buy now. We piece and quilt with it.
