Berlin was great!

Thanks for all the great tips. We got to see some of the great places of Berlin. I made it to the Frau Tulip Shop and bought a small amount of fabric "fly away."
We went through the Charlottenburg museum/palace, the zoo, Spandau open air market and an old church, the Military/Aircraft Museum-Gatow, the Berlin Museum of Technology, a river cruise on the Spree River, the t.v. tower, and several cafes and bars. Our son had a great three-day computer conference, too. Photos I'll try to upload are from the Technology Museum - an old Singer, Pfaff, three machine embroidery set up (pattern made by the paper punched roll), an old loom, and old typewriter painted with decorations much like old sew machines. And, too much more to list! |
Adler, not Pfaff.

Also, the first day we walked several blocks and came across a sewing machine shop with lots of old machines and one building with a quilt airing out on the balcony. My dh has those photos on his camera, and he hasn't shared those with me yet either! Hope to have more photos to share with my sewing friends. |
