Have you been to an Escape Room?

Dh and I are going to one later today. This one is for two people, and you have a half hour to find the clues, solve the puzzles, and escape the room. I'm excited and kinda scared---not a trivia fanatic, don't watch alot of news. What kind of questions will there be? Anyone know?

This is new to me! Is it real or virtual---seems lot of that going around lately.....tell us about it when you "escape"

It's a real room. The backstory to this one is: your waiters have locked you into the restaurant room you are in after you refuse to tip them, lol. The owner told me it's made to be challenging, and only 20% of players (he has two other "escapes" for 6 players each in this facility) make it out in the allotted time. The 6-player escapes are an hour long. If they have quilting riddles, we'll be out in record time. :D

hmmm... locked up in a room with DH and a series of puzzles to solve... something like that could make or break a marriage...

Lol! My dh expressed those very same fears! I guess we'll know later on today, huh? He didn't want to go at first, but I talked him into it, because I'm just a bit crazy! :p

Since I am a bit claustrophobic, no thanks!

I've been to a couple now - with a whole herd of family. They are great fun. The one's we've been to have had much more time to solve the puzzle though. I suppose because it accommodates a larger group and might be more complex?? The employee will take you in the room, give you the back story and a hint to 2. There are cameras in the rooms. If you seem to be getting stuck, they will get clues to you - paper under the door - or some other fashion.

Some clues are very obvious and others not so much. When we've gone with the large groups, the ages ranged from 12 to 85 and wheelchair bound. Everyone able to participate.

See if you can find some sort of coupon - my brother was able to get a 'groupon' because they can be quite expensive.

Thanks, NJ Quilter! If you guys never hear from me again, you know where I am---stuck in a room.

I wanted to go to one when we were in Vienna but no one else wanted to do it. Have fun! From what I've seen about them, you need to check every single thing in the room for clues.

Thanks! Will report back, if I make it out, lol.
