Michael Miller cotton couture solids
Des any one know how this Cotton couture compares to Kona cotton solids? I have a pattern that uses them, but my lqs only carries the Kona. In the past I have felt that the Kona fabric is slightly heavy compared to regular quilting cotton.

I think kona is heavier than Moda Bella, but I like both. I think the MM solids are lovely, tightly woven and silkier than Kona.

I thought the Couture cottons were a little thin.

Are you opposed to buying them on line? They are lovely and silky and a lighter weight than Kona, but no doubt the pattern would work with any brand of solids.

Yes, most of RK cotton fabric are a little heavier than compared to Hoffman. I use to sell them and I always had to add a few ounces when shipping the RK. I am happy with the quality of Kona cotton. Best thing to do is buy a quarter or a half a yard and try it out.

I really like Michael Miller solids. I think they are softer and the colors are richer than Kona or American Made.

Informative post...I am going to the Maine Quilt show tomorrow, I will have to see if any of the vendors carry Michael Miller.
