Newbee
Hello from the heart of the Mississippi Delta.
I worked my way thru college many moons ago by cutting fabric in my aunt's fabric shop. After graduating, I bought a new machine and pieced and quilted a few tops, but soon gave up. Too much 'life' going on. A few years ago I retired due to bad health. Now with sites like this one and all the videos available, help and inspiration is just a few keystrokes away. Since I bought a new machine and started sewing again earlier this year, I've finished 3 twin quilts for my three granddaughters and am working on 2 Kings for my two daughters for Christmas. I've been lurking in the shadows reading all the back issues and going nuts over all the neat blocks that I want to try. A big part of the fun is building a stash and not letting my wife know how much I'm spending for fabric. Thanks to everyone for all the great help and inspiration I've received so far.
