Scrap Dance Mystery Quilt

Here's another Mystery Quilt for you all! This one looks fun. I like that she gives you options for different sizes right up front and starts you off with the cutting! And there is LOTS of time between clues! :)

Enjoy!

I have never done a mystery quilt. I am going to do this. Thank you for the information.

I'd love to do this but I just can't commit due to working.

Do you know if she does this yearly?

I'm just finishing the Scrap Dance that just finished. I just might do this one too, have plenty of fabric to use!

I decided to give it a go! One thing I liked about her way of doing it is that you make the basic cuts of your fabric at the beginning. The last BOM I did, I really wanted to use some of the fabric I 'set aside'. So after a couple months of the BOM, I couldn't wait anymore and raided my BOM for that fabric! Now I know what and how much is committed so I can put the rest of the fabric to good use! :)

Here's my first step. :)

I also like the idea of doing this one...her instructions and measurements seem very clear and easy to follow. I'm just going to start with a throw size but I would love to use up some odd scrap pieces this year.

I have a whole bin of batiks that I need to use up, so decided I would like to do this mystery. I spent the afternoon cutting out the pieces and sewing the first step together. I think I will also do her Waltz pattern since all the instructions have been posted and I have lots of batiks to use. I like her instructions. Thanks for the link.

Whoa, hold on! In step 1 she said additional background fabric and more scraps would be needed later.
