Is this a Gritzner?

This has been on CL for months. From the general look of it, I guessed it was a Gritzner. (I've been watching it, but Campbell is a pretty far drive and I'm not sure enough I want it to make the drive.) It has what appears to be the same cam opening as the Kenmore 117.841 and the White 651. The cams also appear to be the same.

I emailed several months ago and he said it had all the accessories and was in good condition. Now, he's posted the accessories and I see it has top clamping accessories. He now says it needs work. Do you think it's actually a top clamping machine? I've tried blowing up the photo to look at the presser foot, but it's too blurry to tell. It does appear to be bulky, though. It seems to be a pretty modern machine to have top clamping feet.

Do you think it's a Gritzner? Is it really a top clamping machine?

Sure looks like the Gritzner (White, Kenmore, Pfaff) machines. At least the accessories look to be for all White machine, albeit different ones, unlike the White top clamp feet that came with your Singer 600. I do see at least two high shank feet in the box. One is in the upper part on the far right and the other in the bottom section on the far left. My Pfaff 139 (G-Z) uses high shank feet.

I also see a hemstitching fork. I tried the one I have once, but wasn't pleased with the results.

That is a neat looking machine.

I'd want to make sure the cams fit the machine, since most of the other attachments are for a differnt type of White machine. Seen that many, many times, a vintage machine with vintage attachments that didn't go together.

The bottonholer and the top clamp attachments won't fit - does anyone know if that is the correct manual/

I think sometimes this happens because a person got a new machine, and the accessories for the old one ended up with the accessories for the new one. I've found this most often in cabinet models - with all sorts of goodies in the drawers.

I did some more searching after posting this morning. It appears to be a White 667, there is also a White 666 that is very similar.

Maybe not the answer, but a few observations. The best I can tell the feet appear to have an ankle on it. That is not what is MAINLY in the tin . I can see a high shank on one side and side low shank on the other side, although those attachments appear to be mainly for a White rotary.

I agree with your assessment comparing it to the other Whites.

Don't see those around here, nor for that price.

It says White on it.

Yes, but it was made By Gritzner-Kaiser, that's what she was originally asking.
