Is V block tool same as tri rec?

A friend wants to make a quilt called Tumbling Triangles, by Running with Scissors. It requires a V block tool, by Deb Tucker. I have a set of the tri rec ruler/templates, and they appear to be the same thing. Can anyone advise please? Thank you!

Yes, they GIVE the same result, but the Tucker rulers allow you to make the blocks a bit over-sized and then are trimmed down to the precise size.

I went to both sites; they are the same ruler; F&P is selling Deb's ruler. Go with the best price/shipping.

Thanks, all. I will pass along your replies to my friend. She is a beginner quilter, so maybe the Deb Tucker tool is best for her.
