Glue that will hold up to washing

Does anyone have any recommendations on fabric glue that will hold up through at least a few washings? Not constant washing, but something that will be washed maybe once a year. Would regular Elmer’s glue work?

I have used Aleene's with good results.

Is this something that is already made and the glue is for a repair?
Or is it a quilt that has yet to be made?
And what are you "glueing".

My first thoughts go to using a fusible product during assembly .....
but without really know what you are working with and at what stage,
it is hard to answer with any sense that it will be appropriate.
