Laguna Beach and Fabric Shops
 

We are off to a conference at Laguna Beach early in 2022. Are there any "must see" fabric shops for quilters in the area? And not just for fabric (although I am always hunting for that!), but in terms of quilts hung on the walls for instruction and inspiration?

Half an hour north of Laguna Beach is M&L Fabrics in Anaheim and their sister store Jenny's in Fountain Valley. These are discount fabric stores, not quilt shops, but still worth a visit.

Don't miss Jenny's! Warner Ave. exit from 405 fwy. They were my "gotta touch fabric" sanity stop when I was a local substitute teacher before moving to WA. Shelves of mill ends / flat folds at the back at a steal of a price -- nearly all quilt shop quality and name manufacturers. Have fun!

Piecemaker's was always my favorite quilt store to visit while in that area.
