help concerning all those hang up phone calls

Today I have gotten 10 hang up--out of area calls call so far today and it is only 3:50pm. Just got call number 11.
I have caller ID and will not answer any calls I do not know. I have had a total of 17 in one day and I really don't trust doing a search for numbers to call.
I want to sew in peace and not be interrupted with the constant calls.
Please let me know of a trusted number that gives results to stop all this craziness...

Simple actually...Shut your phone off while you sew.

The calls are coming about 15 minutes apart.
I do not want to turn my phone off because I need to know when my prayer chain captain calls to add someone to our prayer list.

Having a caller ID display helps if you can see it.

I still have a landline and use the free nomorobo (no more robot). There is a pay version for cell phones. I still get the incoming calls, which usually stop after one ring. Some of the more determined people try again.

I honestly don't know but can you just put the ringer on silent?
It seems to come in waves for me. Last week I had a lot of them. One was from Ireland! I don't answer either but
it is annoying.

I use TDS landline and it is not showing in that system.
Just got call number 12

I have people texting me to buy my home. they want to come look at it. Creepy. try keeping your phone near you so you can look at the number calling. If you don't know them, don't answer. It's getting bad out there.

I agree with others. Don't answer. Friends will leave a message. My father in law is in assisted living. Had the same landline number for years. We finally had to switch it off and give him a cell phone that only family has. He was spending his day answering calls from telemarketers.

I find few telemarketers like to talk to my answering machine. People who know me, know to say my name on the machine and I will pick up. I have never had that many calls though.

You don't have voice mail? My phone buzzes when a voice mail comes in. I can pick it up within minutes of when the call comes in. Just mute the phone and let it go to voice mail and pick up when you stop for a break. Let's face it, none of us are so essential that people need to be able to connect with us immediately on a daily basis.
