I knew I shouldn't have stopped but I couldn't resist. It was fun  trying to fit it in my little car. I have an Elantra. Good thing I carry an old blanket and some tie downs because it wouldn't fit in the back seat or trunk. I took the drawers out and slid it into the trunk partway, covered it with the blanket and tied it down. It's a Kenmore model 120-71. Serial # 17474 Looks like it only sews straight stitch. Has a funny looking bobbin and is missing the knee controller and the plate over the bobbin. Can anyone tell me more about her? I bought her for her cabinet but it's an odd size opening so none of my other machines will fit. Gotta measure not only the opening size but the location of the hinges next time.
Got the oval mirror for free too. |
Nice find, I have the same problem. Stuff following me home. Or hitching a ride in the back of my truck ..........:)

Ohmigosh i saw a bunch of those bobbins at the thrift store yesterday. I looked at them and thought what on earth would these fit in. I like the cabinet that the machine is in. Wish I could have been there to watch you try to put it in your car. Lol

How lucky that you just happen to have a blanket and tie downs in your trunk. Never can tell when an emergency will occur, like a sewing machine adoption. LOL Great find. Thanks for sharing

Great looking cabinet with all that storage & fold-out space. Enjoy your new "old" machine.
