This is my King size, made mainly from scraps from my stash except for the apple pie border. When I saw it online I couldn't resist buying it for this quilt.
The quilt is arrowhead blocks made from the method shown in the nov/dec 2010 issue of quiltmaker magazine. They were super fast and fun. You can also get the pattern out of the book "rotary cutting revolution" by Anita Grossman Solomon. The pie slice pattern came from a Fabshophop that I did several months ago. The large center is my idea and came from the movie " Michael" with John travolta. In the movie the girl sings a little ditty of a song " Called "I love pie" and part of it says " Me OH MY I LOVE PIE" I have always loved it and sing it everytime I eat pie. Hope you enjoy my pie quilt for Thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Flannel cherries for the backing. Pictures looks wrinkled but its the quilting. Used jumbo rickrack and embroidery for the words. My dachshund Sparkie |
Great top! I love pie too.

This is definitely what I would call a picnic quilt. You can always say 'I'll bring the quilt, you bring the pie'. Good job.
