Well, I looked around the internet and was trying to look for beginner patterns for quilters. I wanted something a little more difficult than trip around the world. I found Sarah's choice and I really like it! So I tested it out. These won't be the fabrics I'm using, but I needed some scraps to try it out.

can't wait to see a whole quilt! I see flying geese and half square triangles but seems easy enough

Can't wait to see the finished product. I love the fabric choices you used from your scraps. Good job

Looks like a good choice. Have fun.

That is a nice pattern. I love that floral you have in your sample. The whole sample is not bad at all. Maybe you can make it into a hot pad or pillow top!!

Nice block! But what I've learned with tongue in cheek. When I put something together just to try it out. I end up making something out of it. So from now on, I have to make sure I like the fabric, and I don't just throw it together. And now I have a bunch of UFO's.....you did a nice job.

I keep my sample blocks until I have enough to make a lap quilt or bigger .. different colors/styles give it character. :-) I also use them as practice for FMQ.
