Default ad.doubleclick.net

Hello all -

I have a question about the board. When I am browsing the threads, I go through the Archives into the groups and look at the threads one at a time. I hit the back button when I have viewed a thread to take me back to the menu and look at the next one. My problem is that lately when I press the back button, the screen doesn't go back. So I click the back button to look at the screens I have been to, but instead of my browsing history I see page after page of ad.doubleclick.net. Does anyone else have this problem? Is this a virus?

Thanks for any info.

Darren

Mine does not go back either have to close out the program and reopen to go forward, then it will go through a couple and the same thing again. Thank goodness I am not getting ad's.

I have this issue too. Those pages are being blocked by your virus/adware software. I just right click on my back button (where you are seeing these web addresses) and just click on the last page I personally opened. This would be the page that you clicked the link to go to.the page you are trying to go back too. Don't worry, your software is doing it's job!

It's the advertising from this site. If you right click on the Back arrow, you will see if the ads are there, you can then click on the page you want to go back to without any problems. It's a pain in the butt. Sometimes it leaves dozens of those doubleclick ads. I had it happening for a couple months but it hasn't done it lately

i sent a report to the ads department.
advertisements should not interfere with browsing back and forth.

if the problem originates with the ads themselves, i'm sure they'll fix it.
if there are browser settings individual users need to change, they might be able to provide advice.

Thanks Patrice - I have the same problem at times. If I close and then open the window again, I might or might not have the problem. It's infuriating. And it happens only on this site. Right clicking does not help at all, because the string of ad.doubleclick.net listings is all I see.

Well I don't want to jinx myself, but I don't have that problem & spend quite a bit of time clicking here & there. I use Firefox & maybe some of my settings block the ads?
