you did the right thing by posting about that ad.
the marketing department does not want those sort of ads - including popups - at any of the sites the company owns.
they know how annoying they are to users and try their best to block the ones they can track down.

you were not being whiney.
you were looking out for us and we appreciate it.

I just got another audio ad on Links and Resources for dog dental treats (Pedigree I think). I use IE 9 on Vista. But I have gotten the audio on Windows 7, IE 10 also.
