Audio Adds

Audio Adds
These blaring adds have just started recently. They are horrible and if there is a way to stop them when I click on a QB posting, I need to find it. They stay on as long as I am reading the post. I am so aggravated that I just close the post. There is the little sound icon at the top of the page but you can not click on it. Anyone know a solution. I love this board but cannot stand the noise and I don't want to have to turn my sound on everytime I do want to hear something. Sound gripey don't I?

I use a pair of headphones plugged into my computer because I'm up WAYYYY before my DH, and that's when I'm online. That said, I can put the headphones on when I want to listen to something, and take them off if I don't want to hear what's being said without fooling with my sound volumes.

These annoyig adds have been appearing on more sites lately, not just the sound ones but adds that cover part og what youare trying to read. Yes you can click them off but then anotherone appears. Very frustrsting, takes away all the enjoyment .

i will alert the marketing and tech folks.
however, they might not be able to track down and block those ads without more detailed information.
any info you can provide here about the source will be helpful and appreciated.

Using speakers or headphones will definately help with audio but we need to come up with something for the pop ups. I don't usually get very many on this site but there are a few others that take all the fun out of reading but thru are great sites so I just put up with it.
