I right click and select save image as. No downloading needed. If you mean posting pictures there are many threads how to on this board or a moderator can help you. Most of the time it's your setting that is preventing the posting. I don't know what you mean by red highlighting. I think that is part of your settings to change color when a post is read, new, or you posted to.

If this doesn't work, your photo may be too big and it will have to be resized. There are also instructions somewhere here on how to resize photos.
