Default Just Curious

I just read a post on Facebook and I am just curious. The person said she was banned from the QB for life for something that she did not know was against the rules. It seems I am always posting to the wrong category or something, and once my post was misunderstood and the thread was deleted, but I don't know what I could do unknowlingly that would get me banned for life! Can you give me a general idea of an offense that would get me banned?

....me too.....I too have posted to the wrong category and once had a thread deleted because I asked a question that should have gone to an administrator....I LOVE the quiltingboard and would hate to inadvertantly be banned for a day, let alone a lifetime. Please, someone answer this without getting into specifics ---- just some general what-not-to-do guidelines.

she knew very well it was against the rules.
in fact she had been warned about it many times over.

i found that the best way to avoid difficulties is to go into each forum and read the guidelines/rules for that forum. some of the forums have very specific rules. after i did that, i didn't get any 'love notes' from moderators [this was when i was new]. if you are ever unsure that what you want to do is correct, just drop a PM to a moderator or PatriceJ.
