Jane, if you will click on your username at the top of the page, you will see "settings" on the left hand side.
Click on that and you can change the number of threads you see, up to 40. That choice is down toward the bottom of the options.
click on the save changes button at the bottom

I do not click on the game threads, but have no issue with them in the 'General" category.
I actually am happy to see that there are so many games as it has been shown that keeping our minds alert, through play, music, art, dance, games etc, delays the onset of dementia and reduces the initial severity. Encouraging all of us to keep our minds fit and active is important.
The math skills, geometry etc, we use in quilting also helps keep us alert.

I have seen this request come up several times, however, it has always been denied. Maybe it would help if more members actually participated in the "chit-chat" portion of this Forum. Does anyone know if the Administrators have ever given a reason as to why the separation of the two subjects has been denied? If so, could you/would you share this information? Please know, I am not trying to start a war, I am just curious.

a separate section for games would be inappropriate.
we are not a game site.
we are a quilting board.
